School and college leavers

Any person who is under 20 and has within the period 30th April to 31st October left a qualifying course of education (as defined within the student disregard) is to be disregarded for the purpose of discount.

This particular disregard often called the 'Student gap' disregard allows for the period of time between leaving school and taking up a University type course.

However due to its nature the disregard is not restricted just to those leavers who take up a course. Irrespective of the reason for leaving and subsequent course / employment, the disregard must be given up until 31st October.
